Born & raised in London Darren’s musical influences were those of Motown, the Everly Bro’s Early Cliff & the Shadows and The Beatles.

Darren has also had the pleasure of working as a bassist & Backing vocalist for artists such as –

Dean Hilborne


Dean Hilborne is a professional Drummer, Percussionist and Musical Director.

Dean has over 25 years experience playing and teaching as a professional musician. He has toured all over the world with numerous theatre shows and original music artists including Razorlight, Reef, Beck, The Carpenters tribute, Drumchasers, Blues Brother’s, The Magic of Motown, Wicked, 60s Gold, Don’t Stop Believing, Disco Mania and Pantomimes up and down the country.

Dean joined Gerry’s Pacemakers in 2022 and is  is delighted to be part of the group

Jimmy Stanley

Lead singer/Guitarist

 As the new frontman, lead vocalist/ lead guitarist,

Jimmy has appeared on ITV’s legendary Saturday Evening Entertainment Show ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ in 1994, many other TV shows like Suggsy’s Channel 5 show ‘Night Fever’, X Factor, ‘Dancing On Ice’ to name a few. He has supplied theme songs for the conventions of many 60s & 70s TV series and films including ‘On The Buses, Timeslip & ‘the Sci-Fi classic ‘Village Of The Damned’..
As a lifelong fan of the Merseybeat scene and coming from Liverpool, he is delighted to be joining Gerry’s Pacemakers.

John Meaney

John Meaney


John spent 10 years playing piano and keyboards with the Queen of Rock’n’Roll Suzi Quatro and toured the world several times.

He then moved on to become a member of Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel.

More recently, John has been working as a Music Director for many acclaimed theatre shows.
